Under 16s Orange
Currentlywe play in the Under 16s Division 3 Saturday Notts Youth League. We finished top of the league and made it to the final of the cup last season but unfortunately the season was cut short due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The way we play - We spoke about trying to copy a professional team last season and we decided on Liverpool. I then went away and put together a training regime for the team and emulate the Premier League Champions. Hard work and high intensity was the order of the day. We pressed high and moved forward as quickyl as we could to score as many goals as possible. This worked well and we nearly scored 100 goals and only conceded 18.
The way we train - We train hard and play even harder. The team are an amazing bunch of young men who, as well as being a good team are really great friends. They will always help each other on and off the pitch. We push each other when needed and also have fun. As a manager I can be strict byt punctuality, effort andhard work are 3 things we can all do, even if we aren't the greatest fottballer. I think the attitude I want from everyone on the team has made us the team we are no. We've only lost 1 game in two years, so the proof is in the pudding. "Hard work, helping others, aiming high and learning how to win and lose are lessons learned in football but are just as important in life".
Fair Playing Time - We try to instil as much fair playing time as we possibly can whilst ensuring each player is safe and happy. We also make points of talking to players and coaching them through different situations from the side-lines to give them the opportunity to ask questions without the stress of playing. Even though they may not be in the game, we always try to ensure every player is constantly being coached by visual and practical time.
