Club History

Bilborough Town FC were formed in 2007 by father and son Colin and Steve Lee.

Colin is an original Bilborough lad growing up on Denewood Crescent, less than a stone’s throw away from where the team have finally laid their roots at Harvey Hadden. This after many years moving around Nottinghamshire including Basford, Bilsthorpe, Arnold to name a few.

Originally starting out with 1 mens senior side in the MAA then moving over to the NSL where we have remained. We have now built up to a soccer school, u7s, u8s, u9s, u10s, u14s, u15s, u18s in our junior section, totalling 11 teams plus 2 senior sides and hope to expand even further.

After 2 years of talks, we have finally got the go ahead to have the old changing rooms refitted, to which funding is now in place and the work is almost complete.

After our initial venture into the MAA, we were joined by Winston and Claudia Blackwood, who remained with us for 4 years. Along the way I met my old friend Andy Lord, who I am glad to say came on-board as well, and still is an integral part of the club and President. He as with myself endeavoured to keep building and leaving a legacy for Colin (pops) Lee who has ploughed a lot of his money into keeping us financially stable.

Last season was a tale of 2 seasons.  Prior to Christmas we struggled but with Danny Morgan coming back into the fold and an influx of players we remained in the Premier Division.

We will be announcing new sponsors shortly with around 5 or 6 new ones.

This season the seniors will be run by player manager Ricky law, Ryan McKeag and assisted by Steve lee. Our goalkeeper coach is Chris Bourne who also assists with 1st team duties.  We are starting to shape a team with more additions coming in on a regular basis and some familiar faces are back.  We aim to keep building a side that can steady the ship as they say and keep the rebuilding process going into next season and beyond as we bring through more of our junior players, which is our long term goal.

Our community team will be run by Geoff Pallett, Andy lord, Shayne Barnes and coached by Luke Mckeag.  Alot of this team are very young and being brought through from our u18s sunday side.  All in all we have a fantastic backroom staff in place to now push on as we have completed our changing rooms at Harvey Hadden and thanks to Westbull Construction for the build and Football Foundation for all their help
